No Functional Friday

I'm so sorry! I completely spaced out. There will be no Functional Friday today. We'll try again next week.

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

The past few days have been a bit crazy!

This past Thursday, we finished going through my grandmother's and aunt's things to get them ready for the yard sale. That was a lot harder than I thought it would be. We went through a few tissues.

Friday and Saturday we had a mega yard sale. I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures. We had about 10 tables jam packed with items and tons of furniture. Sold a lot but still have tons leftover that we will be donating.

I'm happy to say that my kiddos will be in 6th and 8th grade! I'm super proud of them! They both received many awards and are very excited to be out for the summer!

However, I'm already hearing... I'm bored!

So, the husbter took little mama to play bingo and they won! She had a great time!

I've been keeping myself busy working for a couple of companies from home (hoping the work picks up a bit) and did a bit of painting today... in between laundry.

We are still praying and waiting to figure out what our next step is. Trying to stay positive and know that everything will work out.

I appreciate all of your support and kind words!

I Don't Think I Can Cry Anymore

Today is the first day since this past Friday that I haven't cried...

I'm scared and angry.

My anxiety is through the roof!!!

Having not worked in 11 years... just the thought of me being forced to go back to work is giving me near panic attacks.

Without going into too much detail, we received a notice in the mail Friday that my husband would no longer be receiving his Temporary Income Benefits for his injury. They just cut him off. Done. Just like that. Out of nowhere!

Apparently, even though he needs surgery, the doctor who did the MMI rating believes he's at his best.

I'm so angry that they can do this to people!!! The system is broken!

So, for a bit... while we pick ourselves up off the ground and figure out what our next step is... I won't be around as much.

I will be posting Functional Friday tomorrow so that it is up and going for you.

Please bare with me while we sort out this mess...

Garden Goodness

The hubster has been patiently waiting to get his garden going and this past weekend we had a chance to do just that!

While the hubster and kiddos were checking out the veggie plants, I strayed away (hoping not to embarrass them by the folks staring at me... wondering why I was taking pictures at Home Depot). I had to take a couple of pictures of the beautiful flowers!

The hubster settled on a couple of tomato plants, a banana pepper plant, a bell pepper plant and some jalapeno's.
See our kitty proof/raccoon proof (hopefully) fence? Did you see my tweet about the raccoon that is 4 times the size of our Mr. Morris?! No lie! Three times now, he's been staring me down from the end of our driveway. It's freaking me out!

I picked out a few flowers to plant in memory of my granny, aunt and my husband's memaw.

Memaw's two plants are in the hangers just above the jalapeno's.

My granny's plant is in the bicycle and my aunt's plant is in the overalls.

I think they would be very happy with our choices.

Keeping our fingers crossed that we have mucho veggies!
