I Confess! I'm A Noteaholic!

My illness started years ago...

I found that I was forgetting things after having children. No matter how many times I tell the hubster... he just doesn't believe that when the kiddos were born... my smarts came out with them.

Pre-children, I was never a forgetful person.

Now, I have notes on my desk, notes in my purse and notes on my phone. I'm still thinking of more places that I can put more notes!

I have...

Fabric Flower Garland and Miniature Painted Birdhouses

About a year ago, I purchased a hanging mirror picture frame hook thing from a garage sale. It was love at first sight. However, I struggled to find something to hang from the hooks.

I wasn't planning on working on a project last night, but I just couldn't help myself. I dove right in and made over a few unpainted wood pieces that I had on hand.... along with a Fabric Flower Garland. Well, they look more like puff balls to me.

I Couldn't Do This Every.Single.Day

I would seriously go insane if I had to drive in this traffic... not only every day, but any day! It's not so much the amount of cars... it's the amount of crazy drivers. Ya know, the ones that fly in and out of cars or almost rear end you because they weren't paying attention?

We drove to Dallas, Texas Friday for the hubsters appointment with a surgeon to see what would recommend.

It looks like a Spinal Fusion is the only option. I've prayed and hoped that there would be another option to "fix" him, but he's done everything... that we know of... and nothing else has worked. So, now we fight for surgery. God only knows how long this will take and how many denials we will have to go through... We shall see.

God Winks - The Power of Coincidence

Today was a tough day. Almost in tears kind of day.

You may have seen a bit of it on my Facebook page. As you may know the hubster has been fighting with Worker's Comp. for almost 2 years now. It has been a huge struggle for us. Emotionally, financially and physically (for him).

He received another denial letter in the mail for Chronic Pain Management. Tomorrow, we will be traveling out of town for him to see another surgeon. In this same denial letter, they basically said... he should be denied back surgery. I don't understand how they can say this. He hasn't even went to see the surgeon to see what he has to say about his MRI films.

So... as with just about every.single.time we receive one of these letters... I instantly felt helpless, beat down (for him) and like this is going to be a never ending battle.

Top 10 Ways To Procrastinate Or Get Out Of Things

I'm a huge, huge, huge procrastinator! Years ago, I would totally disagree with anyone that called me the "P" word. Now, I full enveloped myself in it! I can admit it! I'm trying to be a big girl now!

Here are the ways that I have found to procrastinate and get out of things over the last few years...

* Say, "I don't feel very good." - This works in tons of different situations.

* Say, "I have a headache." - Same here. ^^

Am I The Only One That Thinks These Things Are Crazy

I was going to post this at a later date, but since I'm so irritated right now... I would really like your input. I have serious issues with the school my son goes to. Both my children go to the same school district, but they go to different campuses. The Junior High and High School are so much worse than the Elementary and Middle School. I'm beyond frustrated.

Here is a small list of what I'm irritated about:

* Teachers being irresponsible. This picture was taken today while waiting in line to pick up our son. The cheerleaders have won some type of competition... I'm guessing and posed for pictures (along with the teachers) in front of the sign. The teachers hoisted a couple of the girls on top of the sign. My concern is... of course... them falling off. Thankfully, they didn't. But, shouldn't the school and teachers be more concerned. Or am I being too anal?!

Postpartum Depression and Blogging.... What?!

I get in "moods" quite often lately. I think my hormones may be out of whack! Every.Little.Thing bothers me. After having my daughter, I went for a check up and explained to the doctor how I was feeling. She didn't seemed to worried about it. Even though I had a severe case of Postpartum depression. Looking through the symptoms... I still have a lot of them... it seems. All but one! Do you think it's possible to have this 11 years after your child is born or do you think it's hormones? Or is it one in the same? I guess I should research it a bit more, huh?!

Even after being put back in the hospital one week after having my daughter and it being listed in my case files... not one of the doctors... mentioned it or tried to help me with it. The only reason why I knew what I was "going through" was called... I seen it in my file laying on the table.

This brings me to my blog...

Ways That You Can Get Eye Rolls And Foot Stomps From Your Children

Most of the time, my kiddos are great! They rarely argue with each other, they jump right on in when I ask them to do something, they're always... always happy to go to school... Oh... who am I kidding?!

Our kiddos aren't "bad" they just have a bit of an attitude problem at times that we are working on adjusting. That's what parents do, right? Teach, love, support, discipline, guide and help keep them on the right track... among other things.

Today, I will share with you a few things you can ask and tell your kiddos that will surely get the maximum eye rollage and foot stompage. But, you have to keep at it to get the full effect!

Why Do You Take So Many Pictures?!

While I was working on our Coffee Table Centerpiece, the hubster said, "Don't you have enough pictures?!"

Instead of explaining, I just said, "No."

I'll let the pictures explain why I have to take 200 zillion pictures!

Coffee Table Centerpiece

For the longest time, I've wanted to create an "everyday" centerpiece for our coffee table.

Ever since I saw these Thumbtack Vase Fillers and Fabric Strip Decor Balls from Landee See, Landee Do, I've wanted to make my own!

I gathered up my supplies and got to work.

Functional Friday Linky Party #15

I had the best day! The hubster and I had a chance to shop at a couple of thrift stores!

Although, we didn't get tons or any huge pieces... there is a particular space, use or project for each item. I'm super excited!
We originally went so that I could try to find some frames to makeover for some of my Cross Stitch projects. We found three! Two of them were only $2.99 and the other was $4.99!

What Are Texans Like?

Before I get started... I would like to thank each and every one of you that commented with your support and kindness while getting myself together. It is truly appreciated and it meant so much to me! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

While I was relaxing in the tub, a question popped in my head. What do people think of Texans? Do they think we all have horses, wear cowboy boots... cowboy hats, etc?

Before I dive in to tell you what this Texan girl is like, I did some research and would like to share some responses pulled from Yahoo! (Canada) Answers. Here are a couple of my favorites...

Keep in mind... I left all spelling, punctuation and wording exactly as it was submitted...

Trying to Pull Myself Up

I'm finally in my (semi) happy place today. I took a nap. :)

It's been a super tough two years and the last couple of days... it has really gotten to me. I have so much that I want to write about... just to get it off my chest, but so much negativity and things that I don't feel comfortable with "putting out there" for the world to see. Just yet.

There are so many things running through my head. I don't know where to start or where to end. Emotionally, financially, personally, physically, family wise and blog wise.

So, for now, I will continue to try to dig myself out of this trench and try to find the positive.

Please bear with me as I "soul search" for a bit. I will be back in a couple of days.

Do you have a craft or hobby that you finish, but don't... finish?

I finish most of my crafts... painting, sewing, etc. However, cross stitch... not so much.

Here's my pile of finished Cross Stitch that I have completed stitching, but haven't finished putting together. Most of them haven't even been pressed...

Kids Say The Darndest Things

As my son and I were pulling into the driveway, he was asking me about my blog. He wanted to know how people can make money with blogs.

I proceeded to explain to him the ways that are available to make money with blogging. You know, ads, reviews, articles and such.

I sat down at the computer to check on a few things and he asked if he could see my blog.

"Why sure!", I said. Completely filled with joy that he was interested in what I do.

I showed him where the ads were, showed him some of my posts, pictures of him and his sister, etc.

He said, "Hmmm... that's neat."

I said, "See, that's why I'm so busy all the time. I market, post, create, visit. All the good stuff."

He replied, "You have to do all of that!"

Me: "Yep!"

My lovely son: "That's boo boo!"

And walks away.

Oh how I love him!

Chocolate Cream Pie Kit

When I was a little, my Mom would bring home frozen cream pies. Even though he won most of the time, my Dad and I would try to be first to the pies. They were delish!

Many years later... I still can't find those pies! So, I was excited to make this Chocolate Cream Pie using a kit from Carnation.
It has everything you need other than butter and water. Added bonus: It's super easy to make! The hardest part was waiting for it to chill in the fridge!

Happy New Year! - Hair Dye and Laziness

We know how to rock it on New Year's Eve!

We had a fabulous time! No, really!

It started off with the hubster helping me dye my hair. You see... I can't get the back of my head very well... so he helps. Isn't he a sweetie!

As he was helping me, he would put the bottle on the counter.

Once it was cleanup time... we noticed the dye on the countertop wasn't coming up. Oh rats!

No worries! Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to the rescue....
