Painted Fabric Panel - Plus Update!

I had purchased a new shower curtain from the local Dollar General. It was exactly what I've been looking for. A modern design and the right colors to match our new-ish painted walls! And it was only $12 for the curtain and all the hooks!

I'm sorry that I'm running a bit late this Friday. I slept in a bit too late. I guess I was more wore out than I thought. :)

I'm excited about a project that I'm working on! I'm hoping that it turns out the way it is in my head. If not, I will have a "fail" post for you.

Here's a sneak peek...

Everything Happens For A Reason

I'm one of those people that believe "Everything Happens For A Reason". Sometimes you actually figure out what those reasons are... most of the time you don't.

Like the time my husband was driving, for his job, and a huge piece of tire (you know a road gator) from another truck, was flung up off the highway into the driver side window of his truck. Smacked him upside the head and gave him a concussion! While he was driving people! Yes, this actually happened.

Maybe it happened because if he continued driving up the road, he would get into a wreck. We will never know. It's probably a good thing. We are truly blessed that it wasn't worse.

Crafter Interview: Say It So Sweetly

I was so excited when I received these...

in the mail! The hubster, kiddos and I had the chance to sample different flavors of mints and Brown Balls. They were delish! Rich, creamy and flavorful! Needless to say... they didn't last long!

Functional Friday Linky Party #8

I'm running a bit late today! My daughter had her first sleepover last night! She was/is super excited.

After getting all the kiddos to bed, while I was getting my eye google on, I came across TwitPic. Which I've seen before, but never had interest in using it. I decided to give it a try and I love it! This could be very addicting! I'm excited to be able to post pictures to my Twitter profile now! I will share pictures there that may not be on my blog... so, you can follow me to see them!

It's been a busy week around here...

Crafter Interview: Little Things By Anna

For years now, I've wanted to create a dollhouse. It would be so fun to add flooring, curtains, furniture, wallpaper and of course... miniatures. That's the best part!

Miniatures have come a long way over the years. They are so detailed and colorful. Handmade miniatures are the best because the artist really takes the time to add little details to each piece they create.

When I found Little Things By Anna on Etsy, it made me want to create a dollhouse even more. It brought back so many memories.

Post It Note Holder Craft Project

I came across a tutorial for a Post It Note Holder to give as a Teacher Appreciation Gift. It was too cute and I couldn't wait to make my kiddos one for their desk.

Using a plastic frame from the dollar store, some scrapbook paper, embellishments, post it notes, and double sided sticky tape... you can make this cutie too!

It's quick, easy, inexpensive and makes a great last minute gift!

Crafter Interview: Cakes And Kids

I've always been amazed and in awe of how people can take fondant and create such adorable toppers. Cake Boss is one of my favorite shows. I love the cakes they make, but it's the toppers that catch my eye. I love watching them create them!

Functional Friday Linky Party #7

Happy Friday!

Before we get started with the party, I wanted to quickly share with you a few things...

I wrote a fun little post and shared a few things the hubster and I would do if we won the lottery. I made it into a linky so that you can share your post as well! If you would like to join in the If I Won The Lottery - Link Up, please do. It will be up for a few more days.

I also started posting Crafter Interviews. Which I'm super excited about doing. It's a great way to meet the many talented crafters and get an "inside view" of how they got started, how they keep their business going and any other adivce they have for us looking to sell our handmade items.

Crafter Interview: Decadent Minis

When I was younger, I would spend the summer with my grandparents. They had an old mini metal kitchen with miniature dishes that I would play with for hours. That's when my love for miniatures began.

It's amazing how a bit of clay can be turned into such adorable little goodies! Miniatures have come such a long way from when I was little. They are so detailed. So cute!

Crafter Interview: Shugabee Lane

I have to say... I'm in looove with every.single.item listed in Shugabee Lane's Etsy shop! It would be so hard to choose just one or two items to add to our home.

Wanting to add my own handmade items to sell on Etsy... someday... I've always been curious of how other crafty folks got their start. What inspired them to make and sell items, what keeps them motivated, what sells best for them, etc. Aren't you curious?

Let's find out!

If I Won The Lottery - Link Up

Functional Friday Linky Party #6

Sadly, I didn't get to make a project this week. Well, a crafty one anyway.

I've been helping set up a Yard Sale. Mom and I decided to get one last sale in before it got to cold. After all, Dad needs help paying those doctor bills from his knee surgery. Wow! I didn't realize how expensive that was going to be for them.

So, I'm doing what I can to help. And... since I will be super busy the rest of the week... I'm starting the link party early!

I can't wait to see what you've came up! I need some inspiration!

Midweek Digi Clique #4 - Scrapbooking Freebie

I'm sorry to say, but this will be the last Midweek Digi Clique. It just doesn't seem to be something a lot of you are interested in. So, I will do away with this and use something else in it's spot. Perhaps some other crafty-ness!
