Sanding, Painting and Battle Scars. Fun Times!

I would have had this post up a couple of hours ago, but I just got home. We went to 7 stores in 2 1/2 hours looking for that perfect shirt for the hubster. The sad thing is... we still didn't find the perfect one, but one that will (hopefully) work.

The past couple of months, my family and I have been steadily working on my aunts house. We have made tons of progress, but still have a lot more to go.

We have completed patching, sanding and painting...

* Two bedrooms
* Hallway
* Bathroom
* Living Room
* Dining Room

We still have to complete...

* Sanding the kitchen cabinets
* Painting the kitchen cabinets
* Painting the walls
* Stripping, sanding and painting all the doors
* A few minor repairs on the outside
* Clean up everything
* Replace the carpet in bedrooms, living room and dining room

Here's some of what we've fixed up.

I'm not sure why the pictures turned out so strange and why they look pinkish. The wall is a light tan and all trim is white. It looks so much better in person.

I'm so ready to be done. Extremely tired and sore... this old lady is (in my best Yoda impersonation. No?)

And...

We have a battle scar from today's football practice.

Helmet to arm = bad. My poor guy.

And I can't believe it!!! I will have a 14 year old tomorrow! He's already thinking about driving!

  1. Oh my, I'm tired just thinking about all the work you've been doing there. Good luck with the 14 year old! Happy Birthday kiddo.

  2. Hi! I just popped over from another blog that listed you as having a Friday linky party, and then I was just lingering and seeing the cool work you've been doing! And I noticed you have ceiling fans like we do - I just DIY'ed a ceiling fan of ours and loved how it turned out - I noticed the ceiling fan in one of these photos and thought you might be interested :) http://house-capades.blogspot.com/2012/09/ceiling-fan-restoration.html
