Tips For Bloggers - I'm Learning Today!

Sometimes... blogging can become too much. You can become overwhelmed with all that you want to do and need to get done. Personally, I still don't get everything done each day that I want/need to do to get my blog going in the direction that I would like it to.

Sometimes... I get stumped. Not sure what to post. Not sure if I should post "that". Okay, I've done this... what do I do next.

That's when I start my browsing. I should probably do it before then, right?!

The Internet is an awesome source of posting ideas, project ideas and blogging tips!

Here are a few that I have came across that I thought you may find helpful....

Living Room - (Semi) Makeover

I'm so happy to finally have our living room painted!

There are still things I would like to update and rip out, but I'm happy to have a bit of a fresh look.

Of course, I didn't get many before pictures. I've got to get better about that!

But, if you look closely, you can see the brown trim, the plain white walls and the ceiling that needed to be painted... badly.

This is the view from the kitchen...
See the spooky kitty eyes?!

Top Projects of 2011 - My Favorites

I can't believe this year will be over in a couple of days. And it will also be my blogiversary! I have had this blog for almost an entire year!

Usually, I get a little sappy on New Year's Eve. This year has been super tough for us. So, I'm excited to move on and I'm looking forward to what the new year brings. Keeping my fingers crossed at the same time. :)

It's kind of exciting to look back at some of my favorite projects that I've made over the year.

I turned this old lamp...

Decluttering and Organizing... Help is on the Way!

Ever since my post yesterday about my housewife guilt, I've been thinking. Because that's what I do!

Back in May, I posted about this awesome Home Organization Plan and I had super high hopes for myself.

Then in September... I was {hanging my head in shame}. I can say that I've gotten better at keeping up with things. Aside from my every now and then meltdowns and begging pleading crying to the hubster for his help.

Okay, moving on...

Does Anyone Else Have Housewife Guilt?

I'm starting to have a case truckload of housewife guilt!

Since I'm a full fledged not so functional housewife, I have felt the need to ask the hubster for help.

Sometimes... I get a bit overwhelmed. And lately... I've been getting a lot overwhelmed. Well, in my head anyway.

I fully believe, as does my husband, that since he makes the moola and I stay at home... that means that I and only I take care of the house. Well, other than the kiddos doing their chores.

However, since the hubster has been down and sorta out, I have asked him to help with some of the things that he can do without causing too much pain to him. For instance, cooking a few meals or doing the dishes.

I don't want him to do anything that requires lifting or bending too much because... well... he can't.

But, I'm feeling a huge case of guilt creeping in.

I've always felt that way. Kind of like I'm not doing what I should be doing. Taking care of the house and family is what I do. Well, aside from running this blog. :)

Any other housewives or stay at home moms feel this way? Am I alone here?

Ruffled Throw Tutorial from Twigg Studios. Look how cute this is!

Kitchen (Semi) Makeover

A few months ago, we purchased paint with the intention of painting the entire interior of our home.

I was extremely tired of the boring white with the ugly brown trim.

We were able to get the master bathroom and bedroom finished then... took a bit of a break.

It took us about two days to complete the painting and another day to get it organized and cleaned up a bit.

I'm so glad that the biggest part of the job is done and Little Mama was a huge help!

We painted the walls Cappuccino White and Fresh Guacamole from Glidden. And we went with a basic white for the trim and ceiling.

I removed some pictures and moved some around and also moved the bookcase. It was too cluttered in the dining area.

I also made new curtains using a shower curtain that I picked up from Wally-World.

Where I've Been Lately

Wow! Where have the days gone?!

Saturday we took a road trip to see my grandparents. I haven't seen them in a while. So, even though I wasn't feeling all that great, I didn't want to miss the chance to go visit.

After dinner, my PaPaw took a nap and Granny, Mom & the kiddos played Spoons.

My Crafting Chaos

I would love nothing more, right now, than to be crafting away on Christmas goodies. But, instead... I have something that is haunting me. My hoarding issue never ending supply of crafting chaos!

Any other time, this would be quite embarrassing for me, but I've decided...

I will not be ashamed!

I will not let this "issue" take me down!

I will conquer it!

Well, maybe not anytime soon, but I will at least attempt to get rid of (sad face) and organize some of the mess.

Am I The Same Person On My Blog As I Am In Real Life?

Yes and No...

Yes, because it is me that writes the posts, me that runs the blog, my (sometimes) sense of humor, my (sometimes) negativity (I get it honestly), my projects and me sharing what I love.

No, because... This is going to be hard to share!...

I hold back a lot!

Magazine Perfect Christmas Tree

Earlier this year, I was thinking...

I would like to have turquoise and lime green on our tree this year... or turquoise and silver... or turquoise and anything... just turquoise! And ribbon! Lots of ribbon!

Just like the ones you see in magazines and even some of the beautiful trees that other bloggers have shared.

Since losing my grandmother and aunt this year, it's made me really think about the holidays. Thanksgiving was tough and Christmas, I think, may be a bit tougher.
