Crazy For The Next Few Days

My husband will be having a test on his back this week as well as having to travel out of town for a doctor visit for the results.

They will be injecting dye into his back and I'm totally freaking out. My anxiety is taking over...

I'm not sure if I will be around this week or not. I will try to do the photo a day (on Facebook and Twitter) and will try to get Functional Friday up and going if possible.

Just in case I don't see you this week... Hope you have a great week and I will see you next week!

Quick Flower Arrangement

While visiting my mother-in-law this weekend, she gave us some items to take back home to go through and/or put in our next garage sale. In the bottom of the tote... I was super excited to find a metal hanging basket. I have always wanted one of these to hang on our front door as an "everyday" door decor item.

Off to Wally World we went to find some flowers and Styrofoam. I originally wanted Hydrangea's, but couldn't find the ones that I wanted so I went with a Summer type bouquet. Anything pretty to bring me out of the winter slump.

I gathered my new goodies...

Placed the metal basket on the Styrofoam and traced around it. I found this to be much easier then squishing chopped up pieces into the basket.

I cut out my Styrofoam piece...

And gently pushed jammed it into the basket...

Next, I used my pliers that has a wire cutter to cut the stems off of the bouquet. I have a blister to prove that I did it myself. Okay, the hubster had to cut off the last two. I'm not as strong as I used to be.

After they were all chopped off, I started pushing them into the foam until I achieved the look I was going for.

Look What I Found

Sunday, my Mother brought over an old sewing cabinet that I just had to keep out of our garage sale stuff. My grandparents had donated it for our sale and I quickly snatched it up. No picture of it yet! I can't wait to make it over... just as soon as I have time.

I rode with her over to my parents house to drop off a storage cabinet that I gave to them and help move my Dad's gun cabinet.

On the way back home, I spotted these...

Pay no attention to the garage sale pile...

They were just sitting by the curb. Someone was getting rid of these! Can you believe it?!

I had to snatch them up! My Mom and the hubster thought I was crazy!

The white shutters will be going into our next yard sale, but I will be making over the brown ones for our home and my parents! Sooooo excited!
